Learn Medical Coding in 8 Weeks In-Person Classes
This is a complete medical coding certification exam preparation course. Upon completion of the course, the student will take a mock examination that will assess the student’s readiness for the actual certification exam. This is a beginner course that is designed for students who are interested in becoming a certified medical coder.
Course Description: This comprehensive course is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required for a career in medical coding. In this course, students will learn and apply the coding guidelines found in the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM), and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) coding manuals. Students will also learn how to accurately code various medical procedures, diagnoses, and services, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maximizing reimbursement for healthcare providers.

A CPT® Manual is strongly recommended since the American Medical Association does not allow the reproduction of this manual. If you are using an older version, please keep in mind that in 2021 and 2023, there were major changes in the way we level the Evaluation and Management services.
